Voluntary Action Wakefield District's support for rural groups
We offer help and support to Wakefield District's rural voluntary and community groups as part of the RISS – connecting rural communities programme.
We offer practical guidance, support and information to support groups to deliver and develop their work more effectively.
Examples of the types of support include:
· funding bids
· policy development
· setting up a management committee
· legal structures
· planning
· working in partnership with others.
We are also supporting rural networks in Wakefield District to provide a voice for rural groups and to support groups to influence local decisions.
