The RSN is a collection of organisations that meet to discuss rural England and outline key issues, develop solutions and lobby relevant decision making organisations. Their new manifesto has just been released and will be used to lobby the political parties in the run up to the next election.
Previous administrations have not fully recognised the difference that exist between urban and rural areas of England. Distribution of key services have been based on a one size fits all formula and this been to the determent of rural areas. With future cuts in public funding it is important that rural England is represented with a strong and coordinated voice so as to minimise any impact of funding cuts. Therefore the manifesto concentrates on 10 key themes.
The manifesto was officially presented to all political parties at the House of Commons on Wednesday 6th January.
