Community Matters

Community Matters provide a range of information, advice and training services to organisations running community buildings. We also provide a quality assurance mark for community associations called visible which is endorsed by the Charity Commissioners, Local Government Association and Office of the Third Sector. More recently we have been involved in advising on asset transfer matters. This usually involves a community organisation taking control of a community building either through purchase or the granting of a long lease which then gives the association greater control over the uses to which a building can be put.

Community Led Planning

A community-led plan is a community's own vision for its future and an action plan on how to achieve it. Community-led plans allow rural communities to make themselves heard and initiate actions to improve the quality of life locally.
